Complete rebuild of the existing Shopify app for better UX, performance and a modern Shopify architecture.
The Starting Point
The existing app was not user-friendly enough, did not consistently follow Shopify's design guidelines and did not provide the best foundation for new features. At the same time, the app needed to become faster, more maintainable and better set up for support and growth.
What We Built
We rebuilt the Shopify app from the ground up, improved UX and performance and migrated it to Shopify's more modern architecture with web components. In addition, we helped shape support workflows and the architecture for future features and delivered key integrations such as live chat and Mantle.

Project Overview
Mapular is a platform for location intelligence, store locator solutions and geospatial products. The existing Shopify app was functional, but its UX and architecture did not fully match current Shopify standards. It had been built by an in-house team that was not fully specialized in Shopify. Over the course of a 3.5-month project, we therefore rebuilt the app from the ground up. The focus was on a better merchant experience, significantly improved performance and a migration to Shopify's newer architecture using web components. In addition, we advised Mapular on support workflows and on the Shopify architecture for future features. The project also included live chat integration and the integration of Mantle for more efficient revenue operations. The result was a much stronger technical foundation for the app's continued evolution.
