The Starting Point
MIK Motoren already had a working store and several software tools in place. Due to strong growth, orders, internal workflows and different systems had to be connected more effectively, centralized and structured in a scalable way.
What We Built
We developed a custom Shopify app for additional order data and spare-part-to-vehicle matching, and built middleware that connects core business workflows across multiple tools. This was complemented by ongoing Shopify development and day-to-day technical support.

Project Overview
MIK Motoren is a specialized provider of engines, engine rebuilding and technical solutions around drivetrains, spare parts and precision mechanics. For around two years, we have acted as the company's technical point of contact for all Shopify and process-related topics. The starting point was a functioning store with several existing software tools, but due to rapid growth driven by successful marketing, processes needed to be centralized and organized more cleanly. To support this, we implemented features directly in the shop and built a custom Shopify app that captures additional order data such as vehicle identification numbers and connects to a very large vehicle model database so matching spare parts can be assigned correctly. We also built middleware that brings together monday.com, accounting, time tracking, back office workflows, admin tasks and Shopify orders in one central system. Step by step, this created a technical operating system for the entire company that reduces friction, improves data quality and enables further scaling.
