The Starting Point
The goal was to increase AOV while also introducing a membership model through which exclusive products are only available to certain customer groups. To achieve this, the cart, shipping logic and access to exclusive wines had to work together cleanly from a technical perspective.
What We Built
We extensively adapted the cart, developed a complex shipping cost logic and built a protected VIP area with a membership subscription. This made it possible to unlock exclusive products selectively, separate shipping groups cleanly and support new recurring revenue streams in a technically reliable way.
Project Overview
Weingut Korrell is a traditional winery from the Nahe region with certified premium vineyard sites and a strong direct-to-consumer online business. We have supported the company as a technical Shopify partner for several years. The focus was on increasing average order value while also introducing a new membership model with exclusive products. To achieve this, we significantly reworked the cart, implemented a more complex shipping cost logic and cleanly separated different shipping groups. In addition, we built a protected VIP area: customers can purchase a membership and then gain access to exclusive wines from selected vineyard sites and vintages that are only available to members. This created additional value for loyal customers as well as recurring revenue through the VIP subscription. All of this is complemented by our direct and fast support in day-to-day operations.
