Frequently asked questions
Who is CodeThat?
A team of five from Bochum, Germany, founded in 2022 by Marvin and Denise Siekmann. We build B2B ordering portals on Shopify for manufacturers, wholesalers and brands, and develop Shopify apps, custom features and integrations. More on our About page.
Do we need Shopify Plus?
No. The B2B features run on our own Shopify app and work on every Shopify plan.
We don't have an online store yet. Is that a problem?
No. We build a store that is only for your business customers, with no consumer storefront.
Will it work with our ERP?
It works without one: orders are handled directly in Shopify. We can connect your ERP or inventory system; the effort depends on the system. We don't work with SAP landscapes.
Do our customers need to install anything?
No. They get an invitation by email, set a password and order in the browser — on a computer or a phone.
Who issues the invoices?
We connect the invoicing system you already use. If you don't have one, we set one up.
How long does it take?
With an existing store, around 30 days from the point we have your data. A new store takes longer.
What does it cost?
That depends on scope: your range, the number of business customers, any integrations. In the demo we work it out with your numbers.
Do you still take on other Shopify projects?
Yes. We still build Shopify apps, develop custom features, connect systems through integrations and handle store setup and support.
